For years it's been very onerous to remove the smell of dog urine out of carpet. You may have a brand new dog and he isn't potty trained yet. You may have tried many different remedies, however none of them have truly worked. Sometimes these remedies involve the use of ammonia, which is one of the major components of urine. Do not worry though, I have found a home remedy that's easy, inexpensive and that you'll be able to create with just a few cleaning supplies lying around your home. The initial action in cleaning the puppy pee is this: If the area is still wet you will need to try to soak up the majority of it using a paper towel. Stamp on the paper towel to soak up as much of the urine as you are be able to. This step is terribly important because it helps stop the pee from going down to the underside of your carpet, where it will be almost impossible clean. If you permit the urine to dry, it can promote bacterial growth. But in most instances the dog pee has already dried because you did not see it when it happened. It is straightforward to search out dried pee on the carpet by using a black light. You can purchase a black light in many well equipped hardware stores. What you will need to start with is water, baking soda, white vinegar, dishwashing detergent, and 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. The first mix should be created of 50% white vinegar, and 50% water. You will need to use a good quantity of this mix to make sure that it get deep down into the carpet. Scrub the mix with a scrubbing brush to make sure that it penetrates the carpet. Once again you will need absorb part of the mix with a clean paper towel. Absorbing the mixture with a clean paper towel helps the vinegar and water to dry more rapidly. The vinegar will neutralize the smell of the ammonia. Now you can progress on to the next action. Leave the surface to dry for twelve hours. You'll help speed up the process with a fan or a blow dryer. After the area has dried you should shake a good portion of baking powder on the soiled surface. For a nicer smell you could use multipurpose baking powder. It overpowers the smell of the mix very well. Next, you will need to mix ½ a cup of the 3% hydrogen peroxide with a teaspoon of dishwashing detergent. Pour this mixture over the baking powder. Scrub the dissolving baking powder into the carpet. It's important to first work it in using your fingers and then you can rub it with the scrub brush. Make sure that you get every single spot around the region that's soiled. You do not want to miss a spot or your dog can go and pee on the area again. In conclusion after you have completed this tasks you need to let the surface dry up again. Once the area is totally dry you may vacuum the spot to pick up any leftover baking soda powder. If the surface is seriously soiled with puppy urine you may have to repeat the procedure again. You don't want the possibility of the puppy using that spot to go to the lavatory again. Bear in mind it is terribly vital that you never use ammonia or ammonia based products when cleaning up puppy or dog urine. One of the main elements in pee is ammonia. It is most likely that if you clean the pee with ammonia based substances the puppy or dog may be tempted to urine in that spot again. Do not be concerned if your carpet has suffered a few puddles from your new puppy. It's extremely straightforward to mend the soiled spots.
